Bio
Academic Summary
I hold MA in Sociology and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. For my Ph.D. project, I had been conducting ethnographic research into the Czech educational system, focusing on the issue of men and masculinity in a feminized context.
I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Gender and Science at the Istitute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. In this department I have taken part in several research projects focused on working conditions and gender equality in Czech academia. At present, I focuse mainly on the intersection of gender and technologies.
I am also an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of Hradec Králové, where I teach gender theory and qualitative methodology.

I love my husband and our dog, they are my world. I am a beer enthusiast and a huge fan of sour beers. I enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy books, classics and contemporaries. I admire the beauty of the ocean and the underwater life.
